Circa 1800 leather travel/storage trunk. Brass tack decoration, two wrought iron side handles, original hasp, lock, lock cover stamped "GR" for King George's Reign, and original paper label on inside lid printed "Hugh Murray Saddle Harness & Trunk Maker 328 1/2 Broad Way New York ". Hand written paper note pasted to inside lid appears to read, "This little trunk with S.D. belonged to Salley Duyckuiek and must be kept". Brass tack "SD" initials on top lid missing but appears in outline. Leather hinges missing with loose lid, some flaking and cracking to leather, and some areas of missing leather. Measures 20 inches wide x 11.75 x 8.5 inches tall.
