The 1958 Harley-Davidson Duo-Glide “Panhead” sports significant model improvements for that year. Bike has 3,101 miles on it. The bone jarring rigid frame was upgraded with the advent of a swing arm rear suspension supported by a pair of coil over shock absorbers. This change complimented the “Hydroglide” front forks, and gave Harley’s FL big-twin lineup greatly improved rider comfort. This was also the first year for hydraulically actuated rear brakes for stronger stopping power. This bike is a strong runner and is essentially unmodified except the addition of a S&S aftermarket carburetor. If desired, an original type brass body Linkert carb is supplied with the bike.
